She learned the fundamentals of business when she earned her degrees in Accounting and Finance from Texas Tech University. She further honed them by obtaining an MBA (with concentrations on Finance and Business Strategy) from the prestigious University of Chicago. She's a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Professional Coach.
Alison was on the board of the Direct Marketing Association of Seattle and has spoken at the Puget Sound American Marketing Association's annual Market Smart event. Alison was a member of the inaugural board of the Charlotte, NC Race for the Cure and co-chaired the organization in 1999. Alison has a passion for running and is a past co-program director for the Jeff Galloway Marathon Training program in Charlotte NC. Alison lives in Newcastle, Washington with her husband, Ken and four year old son, Cole.

Photographer, writer, musician, Richard Duval travels the Northwest capturing its unique blend of scenic and landscape. His photographs can be found on note cards, galleries, and bookstores as well as in various art fairs and shows, and several stock sites. He lives near Mill Creek, WA with Leslee and Jack the dog.
He captures his images on Velvia and Provia slide films, using Nikon F3 and FM cameras, Nikkor lenses, and a variety of filters. Most were scanned on a Nikon Coolscan V slide scanner. Select images are scanned by The Color Group on the Crosfield Magnascan 636 drum scanner. His gallery and fine art prints are done by Watermark Press on an Epson Pro 9500 inkjet printer on Ilford OmniJet paper using pigmented archival inks.
